Built by J.D. Giddings in 1843, this house has been furnished with period pieces and many original furnishings. The Heritage Society was organized in 1970 in order to purchase the house, thus preventing its being moved from Brenham. It is considered the oldest house standing in Brenham and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
